individual therapy for teens and young adults
virtual therapy for teens and young adults in California, Colorado, and Ohio
You may be someone who thinks deeply, feels things intensely, and holds yourself to impossibly high standards. You may spend a lot of time overthinking, re-reading texts, worrying about getting things wrong, or comparing yourself to others. You may be labeled twice-exceptional 2e or gifted but you don’t feel that way. You may put enormous pressure on yourself to succeed in school, work, relationships, or life in general. Even when you're doing well, you may struggle to recognize your accomplishments or feel like you're never doing enough. You may be exhausted from being so hard on yourself.
My goal isn’t to help you become a more acceptable or productive version of yourself. Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand yourself, and figure out what you actually want and need. Together, we can work on understanding and embracing your sensitivity as a strength, learn to set boundaries without guilt, reduce emotional overwhelm, navigate relationships without losing yourself, and build confidence, self-compassion, and resilience in a way that work with your brain and nervous system.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before you come to therapy. You’re allowed to be figuring it out. And we can do it together.

for parents of teens and young adults
Watching your teen or young adult struggle can be difficult, especially when you're unsure how to help or what they need from you. You may notice changes in their mood, increased anxiety, withdrawal, difficulty managing emotions, declining motivation, or growing struggles with school, relationships, or everyday responsibilities.
You may find yourself walking on eggshells, struggling to communicate without conflict, or feeling worried that your attempts to help are pushing them away. You might also be concerned about their independence, relationships, decision-making, or ability to navigate the transition into adulthood. Family therapy may also help.
Individual therapy can give your teen or young adult a supportive space to better understand themselves, work through difficult emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, learn executive functioning strategies to make daily tasks more manageable, and build self-confidence. My style is easy-going and down to earth. Therapy shouldn’t feel like more homework or another test to fail. To learn more, click “Book Now” to set up a 20-minute complimentary consultation today.
